The Matthew Project is a value driven charity working across Norfolk and Suffolk giving help and hope through programmes with adults, young people and communities affected by drugs and alcohol. We have a vision to reach every part of the community in the most creative, effective and efficient ways. Through our varied services, young people and adults receive professional advice, information, counselling, support, care and education.
We are looking for an experienced professional to support young people under the age of 19 with substance misuse issues. You will need experience of working directly with young people, have a relevant qualification or experience and an understanding of the issues facing young people in relation to drug and alcohol use. You will provide advice and informal education to young people in Norfolk, raising awareness of the risks of drugs and alcohol through informal outreach and targeted work. You will provide one to one sessions for young people, group work, drop-ins and awareness-raising sessions at various events and venues.
