The client is a UK consultancy, operating throughout the UK, and as an active associate of a broader international organisation. They provide Management Consultancy, technical and ethical advice, and a broad range of business related services, to a wide spectrum of sectors and clients, both in the private and public sector. This role is based in their Logistics and Supply Chain division which provides a range of services and programmes aimed at driving improvement in business processes and practice, raising standards and efficiencies through training and mentoring, and offering overall strategic advice.

Managing a team, and reporting to Board level, responsibilities include;
  • Input into the Consultancy's corporate strategy and business plans.
  • Develop and maintain sales MI, to be fed into the corporate forecasts and budgets.
  • Work with the Propositions and the Marketing teams to develop interesting and profitable services, and to increase brand awareness and assist sales through professional and sensible marketing.
  • Develop effective pricing models that are competitive, compelling and profitable.
  • Design and lead targeted sales campaigns, engaging at a senior level within client organisations.
  • Organise and manage the CRM system, to provide trend analysis, projections and insights into existing and hoped for clients
  • Recruit, mentor and manage a sales team, including Account Management, new BD and sales administration, ensuring that the staff are trained and educated to the highest standards.
  • Control and manage the Business Development budgets and finances.
  • Forward plan and coordinate AM and BD activities, to create and deliver an integrated approach.
  • Engage with the international associations, to look for suitable BD opportunities.
  • Represent the business with clients, and at events

Candidates need to have experience within the logistics and supply chain sectors, and will be able to demonstrate the ability to identify opportunities. You need to be professional and corporate, capable of managing a team and operating at C level. You need a proven track record of delivering business growth, of selling services and being innovative with marketing. There are good career prospects within the organisation.
