Education Personnel Management Ltd (EPM) is a highly regarded market-leading company providing HR and Payroll services, consultancy and training to over 1000 Schools and Academies.

Due to our significant year-upon-year growth, we are seeking to appoint a Senior HR Adviser/HR Manager to cover the South West region. This position will be home based and the successful candidate will be required to support and advise clients on site and remotely, predominantly within the following regions:

  • Birmingham
  • Worcestershire/Gloucestershire (M5 corridor)
  • Bristol

As travel is essential, you will be required to provide your own transport for business use. Travel will be required to EPM's offices or occasionally to support clients in other locations.

What we're looking for:

We are looking for experienced HR professionals who are preferably part or fully CIPD qualified to join us. The post holders will be responsible for the management of a portfolio of Schools and Academies, provide the full range of HR advice, work with a team, contribute to the development of HR policies and procedures and lead on HR projects within this fast paced, challenging working environment.

The successful candidates will have a proven track record of managing and solving a range of complex casework including disciplinary, appraisal and capability, grievance, sickness absence management and redundancy.

In addition you will:

  • Be able to quickly establish credibility with clients and colleagues
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Be able to manage difficult situations with an ability to influence at all levels
  • Be committed to providing a high standard of service
  • Have strong knowledge of employment law
  • First class organisational skills
  • Have excellent IT skills
  • Previous experience of HR casework is essential and preferably within the schools sectorDed
