Full time contract 33 hours per week

Salary: GBP16,387 DOE
GBP8.55 - GBP9.55 per hour if you are willing to be included in the Rota at our sister home which is less than 5 miles away

Right now, we're looking for enthusiastic and passionate individuals to join the team at our care home. Although some experience in care is an advantage, we are willing to consider individuals from outside a care background as we do provide full training.
Ultimately we are looking for caring and compassionate people with a genuine desire to develop, or continue developing, a career in this field.

About The Home
This Residential & Nursing Home is a 62 bedded home set in the pretty village of Cottenham, on the outskirts of Cambridge. The home is purpose-built and well equipped for the care of older residents, whilst also supporting independent living for young people with physical disabilities.

A wide range of care is available from residential, respite and convalescence to long term nursing and palliative care. Whether providing long or short-term care that includes convalescence, respite and palliative care, our focus is on providing the highest quality service at all times.

What you'll be doing
Taking responsibility for the physical and emotional well being and social needs of our residents.
Assisting residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing and feeding.
Providing physical and mental stimulation by taking part in recreational and social activities with residents, both individually and as a group.
Helping to maintain accurate records, undertaking ongoing training and getting involved in welcoming and training new staff.
Generally promoting our residents' independence, choice, dignity and respect by delivering the very best standards of care.

What you'll need
Ideally, some experience in a care environment, although this is not as essential as your genuine desire to develop a career in this field.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a dedicated team.
A respectful, courteous and compassionate nature and a willingness to undertake any aspects of care or non-care duties.
A belief in giving your personal best at all times and striving for continuous improvement.
