About The Role We've got a great job for a People Advisor (HR Advisor) to join the People team at Spalding . You will use your extensive knowledge and experience gained from a current/previous role to proactively support in ER issues, offering guidance and coaching to the site leadership teams. Our Spalding site was re-developed in 2008 covering 164,000 sq ft on 7.5acres of land. They have in excess of 850 colleagues and run a predominantly 5 day operation. They supply Morrisons stores as well as our Morrisons Manufacturing sites, Farmers Boy, with raw materials to produce a full range of butchery products including materials for sausage, pies and cooked meats. Requirements of the Job As a People Advisor (HR Advisor) you will support, coach and challenge line management across the site with absence, disciplinary and grievance issues. You will identify development opportunities to improve soft skills and build a future talent pipeline, as well as supporting and driving colleague engagement. You will lead engaging and proactive relationships across the site with unions and external agency suppliers. You will also get involved in a number of projects across the People Agenda. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, as well as tonnes of flexible benefits. About You You will have worked as a People Advisor or a HR Advisor within a fast-paced environment. This doesn’t have to be specifically within manufacturing but this would be preferred. You will need to have, or be working towards, your CIPD qualification and be up to date with employment legislation. We would love it if you are able to demonstrate a flexible approach to your work and responsibilities. It would also be great if you have experience of managing and developing a small team – in this role you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the People Assistants (HR Assistants) at site, and our Receptionist so you need to be confident in your ability to do this.
