As the leading provider of Domiciliary Care within the UK and a highly reputable, established and rapidly expanding company – we are looking for a Head of Finance – Shared Services, based in Nottingham. This is an exciting time to join our business, which is undergoing significant and continuing growth. We are seeking a qualified accountant with several years of experience, which must include experience of running a Shared Services team including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll. You must have a proven track record of process improvement and ability to handle multiple projects. As well as strong people management experience with comparable sized functions. The successful candidate will directly oversee a team of 20 staff across a range of finance disciplines including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Credit Control and Payroll. Duties include: Take ownership of the Group’s invoicing (c£200m p/a) and payroll (9,500 staff) functions as well as Accounts Payable, fixed asset and treasury management Manage the Managers of the respective functional teams and instill in them best practice people management expertise Escalation point for any functional finance issues/solutions To ensure all functional processes and procedures are completed accurately and in a timely manner to meet relevant deadlines Driving change both centrally and at a local level to improve processes, enhance internal controls and increase departmental and functional efficiency Enabling the functional teams to achieve corporate and finance objectives – reduced DSO, improved working capital, reduced payroll pay error count etc. Manage the functional teams to hit key reporting deadlines at month/year-end Oversee and help design reporting internal SLA metrics to be used as building blocks in partnering with internal stakeholders Design and fine-tune departmental reporting and analysis to highlight and communicate issues and concerns for management buy-in and resolution Assist with preparation of year-end audit bundles This is a full time position, with continuous training and support provided by a fantastic Senior Management Team, who will work alongside you to guide and assist you in your role, and most importantly, help with your own career development.
