Grab a unique opportunity to join a truly global organisation with multiple advance manufacturing sites around Europe and the RoW Client Details Michael Page is working closely with a global manufacturing business that provides a vital front end product to a number of key industries such as Automotive, Chemical, Petrochemical and Packaging. This business is expanding and has a presence on multiple continents. Their UK operation employs over 400 people and the success and profitability of the site is directly related to their ability to run at high availability, thus the maintenance teams and the front line managers responsible for them are crucial members of staff. Description Reporting to the EC&I Manager, you will play a leading role in developing, inspecting, auditing, and reviewing EC&I equipment and regulations on site to ensure compliance with site standards and external regulatory requirements. You will provide professional engineering support across the site in your area of expertise, supporting the engineering and project teams in the initiation and development of capital project scopes and participate in project implementation teams. You will offer expert opinion on design and specifications DCS Systems, PLCs, Communication data highways, variable speed drives and instrumentation. You will have the opportunity to apply problem solving techniques and analyse quantitative and qualitative data and have an appreciation of break down, predictive and preventative maintenance strategies. Profile This role is a highly responsible position and as such the individual who will be successful will demonstrate effective communication, people and technical skills. You will be considered a subject mater expert and be given the authority to make high level engineering decisions. The successful EC&I Engineer will demonstrate: A degree in electrical, control or instrument engineering, and preferably be chartered or working towards chartered status with the IET. Satisfaction of the Engineering Council requirements for Education and Training and have some responsible experience in an industrial environment. A Certified Functional Safety Engineer Qualification (e.g TUV or Exida) would be an advantage to your application. Practical experience on a Top Tier COMAH site.
