Ekes is a Tier1 Managed Service Supplier to Rolls-Royce for Engineering Services, and has for a number of years undertaken the delivery of a broad range of Design and Analysis solutions to them both in the UK & Germany. Due to a hugely successful 2017, with more business expected early 2018, we urgently require a number of experienced Manufacturing Engineers to join our Derby team. For these roles Gas Turbine experience would be beneficial but not essential, candidates from other industries who have transferable skills in Manufacturing Engineering and New Product Introduction will also be considered. Responsible for the design, development and implementation of improvement initiatives across all facets of the business, you will be responsible for the delivery of World Class centric Processes and Tools. Drive corrective action and improvements using structured problem solving techniques. Your remit will include: - Analysing and appraising existing quality and manufacturing processes in order to identify areas for improvement - Utilise Root Cause Analysis in order to identify potential areas for improvement - Improving productivity and processes in order to reduce costs - Maintaining an excellent appreciation of the business's products and services in order to fully understand customer demand - Driving quality processes and techniques throughout the entire business Applications are especially welcome from candidates who have: - In-depth knowledge of mechanical engineering - Several years' experience in a fast moving assembly and fabrication industry - Six Sigma certification, 5s (beneficial) - Excellent knowledge of modern Quality improvement processes and techniques - Strong understanding of process methodologies - Change Management - The ability to communicate effectively with all levels of Stakeholders throughout the business This is a truly excellent opportunity within a global brand for an ambitious CI biased Manufacturing Engineer looking for real responsibility.
