Contract Manufacturing Account Manager – Fresh Food Location: Lincolnshire Salary: £20-25,000 bonus benefits Are you the sort of person that’s not afraid to roll up your sleeves? Based in Spalding at our Client’s 3 rd party contract manufacturing site, the Contract Manufacturing Account Manager is the key owner of all aspects of supply chain relative to our Client’s products produced by their external site. You will serve as the lead contact to the Contract Manufacturing site, ensuring that contract production facilities execute to agreed-upon production plans and new projects, maintaining lowest landed costs for production and driving key supply chain, quality and safety metrics. This position will be responsible for managing projects, developing analyses for cost savings, network efficiencies, New Product Introduction etc Woking with our Client’s contract manufacturer you will be responsible for ensuring quality supply of protein products to Supermarkets, Restaurant Groups, Wholesale and High-end Retail customers The role: Drive surety of supply, service and productivity of Contract Manufacturers Ensure infrastructure is in place to support business growth Build and manage the Compliance Framework Work with Operations Leaders, Engineering Leaders , and Business Unit Teams to drive the relationship Establish and track key metrics on EHS, Service, Quality, Cost and Productivity This person is responsible for managing the Contract Manufacturing process and costs for the 100-150 tonnes of product produced each week Ensure that appropriate contacts are established, maintained and developed Work closely with Operations and Business Unit Resources to identify and secure growth and surety of supply Work closely with the company team and directly with Contract Manufacturers to expand capacity/capability where needed Improve productivity performance Evaluate Contract Manufacturing production productivity opportunities at their location Conduct EHS, Quality and Business Strength audits Develop a strategic plan that addresses growth and productivity needs for the business Ensure Legal and EHS Compliance Manage overall relationship with the external contract manufacturing sites, interface between site and internal functions (Purchasing, R&D, Planning, Quality…) Work with Directors on pricing and other commercial terms with contract manufacturing site. Lead contact for all cross functional projects – new product launches, cost analysis on modified SKUs, special configurations, network optimisation, etc Managing periodic cost updates, analysing cost increases/decreases and understanding driving factors Develop and drive cost reduction projects Developing detailed supply chain analyses including, but not limited to: material cost analysis, conversion cost analysis, capital requirements, root cause identification within any complaints Ensure compliance from the facility at time of production The person: Degree educated or equivalent Experience in a food manufacturing environment perhaps through a graduate programme understanding and experience of manufacturing, supply chain, supplier management, costing, and or technical skills Strong Influencing and decision making skills; Demonstrated ability to work effectively cross-functionally and across cultures; Demonstrated proficiency in communicating effectively internally and externally; Negotiations Skills and experience; Strong Business/Finance working knowledge and experience Strong Supply Chain knowledge and familiarity with general manufacturing (ideally protein or high care) and warehousing flow and operation Experience within Supply Chain relationship management Comfortable presenting to large groups Strong business acumen and analytical skills Ability to influence members of cross functional teams, strong negotiation skills Proficient in MS Office Applications (Excel, Access, Word, Powerpoint) To apply please email your CV This job was originally posted as
