Reliability and Asset Care Technician Our client is a world renowned leader in FMCG manufacturing, committed to 'Manufacturing Excellence'. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a high profile and progressive major manufacturer; superb benefits including pension, training and development including cross skilling is available. The role of the Asset Care Technician will be to drive improvements in the performance of the assets within their designated area of the factory. Responsibilities will include maintenance planning and predictive maintenance activity, being responsible for change control and documentation. Training, development and coaching of Technical Operators and Continuous Improvement activities will also form a major part of the role. Role: -Maintain the equipment and/or control systems in the factory -To support the Shift Management Team with technical advice and break down support. -To work with the Shift Management Team to identify opportunities for improvement in plant performance, procedures and processes. -Use annual maintenance plans -Identify training needs and develop training plans for operators -To lead the design, installation and commissioning of capital investment plans -To communicate and review planned preventative maintenance schedules -To ensure root cause analysis and problem solving techniques are carried out to maximise the efficiency and safety of plant to meet production targets -To provide training of operators and Team Leaders in basic maintenance skills Requirements: -Individuals will have strong team working and communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem solving. You must be open to new methods and ways of working and have a strong commitment to plant performance and continuous improvement. -HNC/HND / NVQ Level 3 preferred in mechanical engineering but not essential. Otherwise C&G/mechanical apprenticeship is essential. -Highly numerate and PC literate -Multi-skilled engineers are preferred as the role will require you to work on mechanical and electrical plant
