Role - Quality Inspector Location - Leicester Salary - £13.39 p/h (£33,421) Overtime Pension Shift - Permanent Nights (Mon-Thurs 6pm-6am) The Company ATA Recruitment are currently working with a manufacturer of bespoke components for the aerospace and gas turbine industries with three manufacturing sites in the Midlands. The company employs 70 people at the Leicester manufacturing site and 300 across their group. They have a wide range of complex multi axis milling and turning machines used in their process and machine parts from materials such as stainless steel and titanium. The business has ambitious plans to grow from a £30 million to £100 million business in the next five years. As part of this growth plan they are looking to recruit a Quality Inspector to join their nightshift, the Quality Inspector will be responsible for the manual and CMM inspection of all machined components, moving forward they are keen to train this person to become a CMM programmer as well. If you have previous experience of manual inspection within a precision engineering environment and are looking to progress into a programming role in the future then apply now for immediate consideration The Role The Quality Inspector works on a 6pm to 6am shift From Monday evening through to Friday morning. - Use of CMM Machine for inspection of machined parts. There are five CMM machines on site running PC Dmis - Use of manual and visual inspection tools for first off and 100% inspection of machined parts. - Measuring tools include verniers, thread and plug gauges, shadowgraphs and micrometers. - If capable the person could get involved in offline CMM Programming or online CMM Programming, however moving forward the plan would be to train the quality inspector to be fully competent with the programming aspect of the job. - Completing inspection documentation. The Candidate To be successful in your application for Quality Inspector you will need: - Previous experience of manual and visual inspection within a precision engineering environment. - Previous experience of operating a CMM machine. - Exposure to programming is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
