We are currently recruiting for 2 Production Shift Managers at our Foston site. The successful candidate will enable Muller to achieve its strategic vision through a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. You will develop and manage systems, processes and resources within a given production business unit, to both meet and exceed prescribed business targets for volume, costs, quality, environmental and health and safety. Your challenge In this role the key responsibilities will include: Motivate others to strive to exceed prescribed targets/standards Embedding a continuous improvement philosophy in all approaches to work Delivery of improvement projects to given timescales/plan Problem identification and rectification/escalation Prompt recognition and actions regarding fault finding and correction Cross functional working with all departments Driving continuous improvement ideas through to completion Use root cause analysis to find corrective actions and to solve problems 100% achievement of PDP's across your team Proactive management of sickness absence and all performance and disciplinary issues Conduct timely and structured shift hand overs to night and opposite shifts Acting as a champion for instilling high levels of personal safety awareness amongst production employees, striving for change in systems and procedures to ensure full compliance with safety, health, quality and environmental standards/measures Effective communication and implementation of company policies, procedures and practices Achieve operational targets Set out detailed training plans for the team Deliver the daily production plan for the line(s)/plant on time and in full Reporting non-conformance to Shift Production Manager team Instil and ensure the review and update of company standard operating procedures Prompt reporting of any accident near misses to your Line Manager Support the Operations Manager/NPD team to trial and launch new products ensuring provision of accurate labour and material information to facilitate costings Key skills & experience Qualified in a managerial/supervisory discipline (NVQ Supervisory level, NEBSM, etc.) Relevant food manufacturing qualification Highly results driven Flexible and enjoys a challenge Adopt high personal and professional standards Ability to work under own initiative in a high speed environment Continuous improvement techniques Use of Microsoft Office packages Health, safety, food hygiene and environmental awareness/knowledge Teamwork and collaboration Problem solving Processing/filling theory Technical processing plant/machine knowledge The Process If you have the skills and experience in the above areas and would like to be considered for this role please apply at [URL removed]
