Based in York, this is an exciting opportunity for the right individual - you will be working alongside the Commercial Manager on a daily basis to expand the already growing portfolio of clients through new business development within a number of different channels and territories.
You will be responsible for:
Successfully contacting and communicating with key decision makers.
Using various research methods to identify new business partnerships.
Cold calling prospective partners to create opportunities for the business Achieving daily call and appointment targets set by the management team, performance will also be measured by the number of accounts opened.
Speaking knowledgably about the business to gain credibility.
Qualifying, Generating and arranging appointments with new prospects Maintaining and updating the client database.
Keeping up to date with industry trends and news in all territories.
Whilst this position is desk based, the position will be reviewed at 3 and 6 months. Dependent on the successful candidate, the role could progress into a Business Development Manager.
What we are looking for
At least 18 months experience in a similar role
Ambitious and tenacious individual
You will need to have a high level of resilience and a pro-active attitude.
Good knowledge of social media outlets, such as LinkedIn.
Excellent communication skills.
You will have proven sales experience but this it is not essential to have industry experience.
Effectively works within a team
Professional telephone manner
